Dear Student,

I pray you are having an enjoyable summer. As you continue to enjoy the rest of your summer, do not forget to use your time wisely. Spend some time developing your brain by reading and reviewing educational materials. I know this isn’t something you want to be doing during summer, but it will help you start the new school year strong.

Let me introduce myself to you. My name is Ms. Morataya. I will be your upper grade teacher and principal. I recently moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to New Mexico. As a teacher, I enjoy teaching Math and English. On my free time, I like to paint, draw, and help my niece and nephew with academics.  My family is very important to my life; therefore, I try to make the best of time whenever I am with them. Whenever I’m with my family or friends, I like to enjoy the outdoor activities.

As a teacher, academic excellence is very important. I expect all my students to push pass the expectations. Respect for one another and God is extremely important and valuable. As we start the new school year, you will be expected to study rigorously, be responsible with your work and actions, and contribute to classroom discussions. You are expected to honor God, your parents, and classroom with your actions, words, and work. Once we have meet our academic expectations, we can have fun as a class!

Your Head Teacher,

Ms. Morataya
