    Our head teacher, Ms. Melissa Chacon, was born in Alaska and is bilingual in Spanish and English.  She graduated with a BA in Psychology emphasis School Guidance and taught at Keene Adventist Elementary School in Keene,Texas before moving to Santa Fe to teach at our school. At the Adventist Academy of Santa Fe, she teaches grades 4-8, and she is currently working on her Master's in Counseling Psychology.
     Her goal is for students to increase their love for God as they excell in their academic, social, emotional, and physical growth. One of her greatest memories involves being with her friends and family. Her favorite Bible text is 1 Peter 4:10.  She loves cooking, exercising, reading, and all the students in her classroom. She has also started to take up basic web design. She is the webdesigner for our school website. 


 
     Ms. Elisa Hernandez is a Texas native and is also bilingual in Spanish and English. She is the teacher of grades K-3, and recently graduated with her Psychology emphasis School Guidance degree from Southwestern Adventist University.  She focuses on differentiated teaching and hands-on learning. Her passion is seeing and helping her students grow as they develop in her classroom. 
     Her favorite season is winter because it shows a different beauty in God's creation. She enjoys reading, exercising, free writing, and giving back to the community.
